scheme-content\">\r\n            <section id=\"details\">\r\n                <h1>About<\/h1>\r\n                <p>To provide financial assistance to meritorious students from poor families to meet a part of their\r\n                    day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies.<\/p>\r\n                <p>The scholarships are awarded by Ministry of Education, Government of India on the basis of results of\r\n                    Higher Secondary \/ Class XII Board Examination. A maximum of 82,000 fresh scholarships per annum are\r\n                    provided for pursuing graduate \/ postgraduate degree in colleges and universities and for\r\n                    professional courses, such as Medical, Engineering etc.<\/p>\r\n                <p>The total number of scholarships are divided amongst the State Education Boards based on the State\u2019s\r\n                    population in the age group of 18-25 years, after segregating share of CBSE and ICSE on the basis of\r\n                    number of students passing out from various Boards in the country. 50% of the scholarships are\r\n                    earmarked for girls. Out of the total scholarship slots earmarked for UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and\r\n                    Ladakh, 3% slots shall be earmarked for the students from the UT of Ladakh. The number of\r\n                    scholarships allotted to a State Education Board is distributed amongst pass outs of the Humanities,\r\n                    Science and Commerce streams in the ratio of 3:3:1. In case of shortfall in the number of\r\n                    applications, the scholarship slots shall be interoperable among categories (Gen, OBC, SC & ST),\r\n                    gender (Female, Male) and State Quota to maximize use of slots for fresh scholarships with effect\r\n                    from academic year 2022-23, subject to the condition that guidelines of Ministry of Finance and NITI\r\n                    Aayog regarding SC\/ST fund allocation of the schemes are adhered to<\/p>\r\n            <\/section>\r\n            <section id=\"application\">\r\n                <h1>Application Link<\/h1>\r\n                <p><a target=\"_blank\" style=\"text-decoration: none;\"\r\n                        href=\"https:\/\/scholarships.gov.in\/public\/schemeGuidelines\/CSSS_GUIDLINES_07022024_updated.pdf\">\r\n                        https:\/\/scholarships.gov.in\/public\/schemeGuidelines\/CSSS_GUIDLINES_07022024_updated.pdf\r\n                    <\/a>\r\n                <\/p>\r\n            <\/section>\r\n            <section id=\"benefits\" class=\"benefit\">\r\n                <h1>Benefits<\/h1>\r\n                <ol type=\"I\">\r\n                    <li> Rs. 50,000.00 per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum 4 years duration for first year\r\n                        admitted Degree students and maximum 3 years for Diploma Students as lump sum amount towards\r\n                        payment of college fee, purchase of computer, stationeries, books, equipment, software etc. No\r\n                        other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges etc. In\r\n                        case student is currently studying in the 2nd \/3rd\/4th year at degree level the duration of the\r\n                        scholarship will be reduced to 3\/2\/1 year respectively. Similarly, for students currently\r\n                        studying in the 2nd \/3rd year at diploma level the duration of the scholarship will be reduced\r\n                        to 2\/1 year respectively.\r\n                    <\/li>\r\n                <\/ol>\r\n            <\/section>\r\n\r\n\r\n            <section id=\"eligiblity\" class=\"eligiblity\">\r\n                <h1>Eligibility<\/h1>\r\n                <ol type=\"I\">\r\n                    <li>Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from the\r\n                        respective Board of Examination in Class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent;\r\n                    <\/li>\r\n                    <li>Pursuing regular degree courses and not correspondence or distance mode or pursuing Diploma\r\n                        courses;<\/li>\r\n                    <li>Pursuing courses at colleges\/institutions recognized by All India Council for Technical\r\n                        Education and respective Regulatory Bodies concerned;\r\n                    <\/li>\r\n                    <li>Not availing benefit of any other scholarship schemes including State run scholarship schemes\/\r\n                        fee waiver & reimbursement scheme;\r\n                    <\/li>\r\n                    <li>Students with gross parental\/family income upto Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum are eligible for\r\n                        scholarship under the scheme. Income certificate will be required only for the fresh applicants;\r\n                    <\/li>\r\n                    <li>Student changing his\/ her college\/institute of study will be allowed to continue\/renew the\r\n                        scholarship provided the course of study and the institution is having valid AISHE Code; The\r\n                        AISHE code can be checked in the portal <a target=\"_blank\"\r\n                            href=\"https:\/\/aishe.gov.in\/aishe\/aisheCode\">https:\/\/aishe.gov.in\/aishe\/aisheCode<\/a><\/li>\r\n                    <li>Students who missed to apply for renewal of application online on NSP will be allowed to apply\r\n                        for renewal of scholarship for subsequent year on NSP, if he\/she fulfils eligibility condition\r\n                        for renewal; <\/li>\r\n                    <li>For renewal of scholarship in each year of study, besides getting at least 50% marks in the\r\n                        Annual Examination, maintenance of adequate attendance of at least 75%, will also be the\r\n                        criteria. Complaints against the student regarding any in disciplined or criminal behaviour\r\n                        including any complaints of having indulged in ragging, will lead to forfeiture of scholarship\r\n                    <\/li>\r\n                    <li>Beneficiaries\/ Applicants under the scheme must apply online in the National Scholarships Portal\r\n                        (www.scholarships.gov.in) for the fresh\/ renewal scholarships. Fresh\/Renewal applications sent\r\n                        directly to the Ministry of Education shall not be accepted. <\/li>\r\n                <\/ol>\r\n            <\/section>\r\n            <section id=\"procedure\" class=\"eligiblity\">\r\n                <h1>Procedure For Applying<\/h1>\r\n                <ol type=\"I\">\r\n                    <li>The applications are received online only. Verification of credentials of the students like\r\n                        caste, educational qualifications etc. are done through DIGILOCKER facility of the MeITY, Govt.\r\n                        of India.\r\n                    <\/li>\r\n                    <li>National Scholarships Portal (NSP) (www.scholarships.gov.in) will provide the timelines for\r\n                        opening & closing of the portal.\r\n                    <\/li>\r\n                    <li>The Guidelines for application, verification, selection and disbursement of scholarship will be\r\n                        as per the NSP.\r\n                    <\/li>\r\n                    <li>Selection list would be generated\/displayed on NSP<\/li>\r\n                    <li>Online applications will be verified at two levels i.e by the Institute, where the student is\r\n                        studying and thereafter by the concerned State Higher Education Department or any other Agency\/\r\n                        Official nominated by the State as State Nodal Agency (both for fresh and renewal applicants).\r\n                    <\/li>\r\n                    <li>Latest guideline on Timelines will be made available on NSP. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>Students will not be permanently debarred for scholarships due to delay to renew or verification. However, students will have to submit renewal applications within a cut-off date.
