In case, there are still more candidates in the merit list as compared\r\n                    to the desired\/declared slots, further short listing shall be done on the basis of age of\r\n                    candidates. Older candidates shall be given preference over younger candidates. <\/p>\r\n                <p>The result shall be declared normally in the month of November\/December of the same year by NSP. The\r\n                    candidates shall be able to check their result on the National Scholarship Portal by using their\r\n                    User ID and Password generated at the time of filing online application. The results shall also be\r\n                    uploaded on UGC website at <a href=\"www.ugc.ac.in\/notices\">www.ugc.ac.in\/notices<\/a><\/p>\r\n            <\/section>\r\n            <section id=\"application\">\r\n                <h1>Application Link<\/h1>\r\n                <p><a target=\"_blank\" style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/scholarships.gov.in\/public\/schemeGuidelines\/Guidelines_ISHAN%20UDAY_2324.pdf\">\r\n                       https:\/\/scholarships.gov.in\/public\/schemeGuidelines\/Guidelines_ISHAN%20UDAY_2324.pdf\r\n                    <\/a>\r\n                <\/p>\r\n            <\/section>\r\n            <section id=\"benefits\" class=\"\">\r\n                <h1>Benefits<\/h1>\r\n                <p>A student is eligible to receive only one scholarship at a time. The student is required to declare\r\n                    that he\/she is not in receipt of any other scholarship\/monetary benefit from any other source and\r\n                    that he\/she will not accept\/receive any other monetary benefit\/scholarship from any other source.\r\n                <\/p>\r\n                <p>In case, a candidate is already in receipt of any scholarship\/fellowship, he\/she is still eligible to\r\n                    apply under these schemes subject to the condition that it is declared in his\/her application. If\r\n                    the candidate is selected under this scheme, he\/she will have to relinquish either the previous\r\n                    scholarship\/any other monetary benefit or to forgo the selection under this scheme.<\/p>\r\n            <\/section>\r\n            <section id=\"procedure\" class=\"procedure\">\r\n                <h1>Procedure For Applying<\/h1>\r\n                <ol type=\"I\">\r\n                    <li>Applications will be invited once in a year on the National e-Scholarship Portal of the\r\n                        Government of India. Short notification will also be uploaded on the UGC website.\r\n                    <\/li>\r\n\r\n                    <li>Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. Only verified online applications will be\r\n                        considered for award of scholarship. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>Students are not required to upload any certificate\/affidavit on NSP while submitting their\r\n                        online applications. However, as per requirement of scheme they have to submit necessary\r\n                        documents\r\n                        to their institutions to enable them to verify their online applications. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>In case, a student does not have a separate KYC compliant bank account in their name, he\/she\r\n                        should open a KYC compliant bank account in his\/her name and give its correct information in the\r\n                        online application. Even if a student is selected for scholarship, the payment of scholarship\r\n                        may\r\n                        not be generated due to mismatch of name of student, bank account number, IFSC code etc.<\/li>\r\n                    <li>Students are advised to fill the online application on NSP very carefully. The application may\r\n                        be\r\n                        rejected, or payment may be stopped due to the wrong information in the online application No\r\n                        correspondence will be entertained in this regard after the application is verified by their\r\n                        institution. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>The institutions are also advised to check whether the student has given correct information in\r\n                        their online application.<\/li>\r\n                    <li>The Institution shall verify the eligibility of its students on the basis of documents\r\n                        submitted by students. The Institution may ask for Certificates, Affidavits from students to\r\n                        ensure\r\n                        the eligibility and verify the information given by the students in their online application.\r\n                        These\r\n                        include Domicile Certificate\/Permanent Resident Certificate and Income Certificate issued by the\r\n                        competent authorities and Affidavits etc. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>The institution shall retain all documents of its students for record purpose during the\r\n                        period of scholarship plus two years after the end of scholarship. UGC reserves the right to\r\n                        call\r\n                        for the documents of any student, any time. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>After verifying the eligibility of its students for scholarship under the scheme, the\r\n                        institution shall verify the online application on NSP within the stipulated time. While\r\n                        verifying\r\n                        the online application, the institutions shall upload a scanned copy of certificate on the\r\n                        Portal. A\r\n                        format of the Certificate for verifying \u2018Fresh\u2019 applications is attached below. Original copy of\r\n                        Certificate shall be retained by institution with other record of student. <\/li>\r\n                <\/ol>\r\n            <\/section>\r\n\r\n            <section id=\"eligiblity\" class=\"eligiblity\">\r\n                <h1>Eligibility<\/h1>\r\n                <ol type=\"I\">\r\n                    <li>The scholarship is open to those students who have passed Class XII or equivalent examination\r\n                        from a school situated within NER through a recognized Board of Education including Central\r\n                        Board of\r\n                        Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute\r\n                        of\r\n                        Open Schooling (NIOS).<\/li>\r\n                    <li>The scholarship is available for those students only, who are pursuing a recognized UG\r\n                        degree\r\n                        programmes as specified and notified by UGC from time to time. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>(III) Only the students, who are already admitted in the first year of UG degree programme in an\r\n                        eligible university\/college\/institution within India, are eligible to apply. In other words, a\r\n                        student who has secured admission in UG programme in the academic year 2020-21 will be eligible\r\n                        for\r\n                        selection in the year 2020-21 only. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>(IV) The scholarship is available to the students for first UG Degree only. Students, who have\r\n                        already acquired any degree, are not eligible to apply. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>(V) The scholarship will be given for the duration of study of UG programme as specified by UGC\r\n                        for\r\n                        each programme, from the start of class in the first year\/semester. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>(VI) In case of \u2018integrated\u2019 and \u2018dual degree\u2019 programmes, the scholarship will be payable for\r\n                        the UG\r\n                        component only. Page 3 of 6 <\/p>\r\n                    <li>(VII) The scholarship is available for students who are admitted in UG degree programme through\r\n                        \u2018Regular\/Full Time\u2019 mode only. The students, who are pursuing any UG programme through open\/\r\n                        distance\/ correspondence\/ private\/ part-time mode, are not eligible to apply. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>(VIII) Students gaining admission through \u2018Management Quota\u2019 are not eligible to apply. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>(IX) The income of the parents of the student should be below Rs. 04.50 lakh per annum.\r\n                        Students,\r\n                        whose parents\u2019 annual income is Rs.04.50 or more, are not eligible to apply. <\/li>\r\n                    <li>(X) Student should have a valid Domicile Certificate of any State of NER.<\/li>\r\n                <\/ol>\r\n            <\/section>\r\n            <section id=\"document\">\r\n                <h1>Document Required<\/h1>\r\n                <p>1.
